Until today I thought the name of the pond was "Leiths Pond". How ironic is is that I spent over 25 years going there no knowing the correct name of the park! Thanks for sharing your experience on how the park helped your transition into your new neighborhood. I remember being a little girl and feeding the ducks, playing in the huge sandbox with the indian tee-pee in the middle (I don't think it's there anymore), ice-skating in the winter, jumping rocks underneath the 'waterfall' and then playing softball as I got older.
